BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A travel advisory for folks in the Bangor area Saturday.

Bangor Police say Harlow Street will be closed between Franklin and Central Streets around 1:30. No parking will be allowed in the area.

It's because of a rally taking place there.

Bangor Police say they've been working with organizers to make sure it runs smoothly.

"We anticipate several people showing up for the rally and we will have a presence there as well. Our goal obviously is to maintain the safety of everyone involved," said Sergeant Wade Betters of the Bangor Police Department. "And we do appreciate a person's right to protest and rally but we just would like everyone to be reminded to do so peacefully and abide by all the laws."

The Rally to Preserve American Traditions takes place from 2 to 4 Saturday according to the city of Bangor.
