Soon-to-be high school seniors got the chance to tour Thomas College in Waterville Friday.

More than fifty prospective students played lawn games and explored all the school has to offer.

They were all treated to a 'wicked good' lunch. Lobster rolls, whoopie pies, and other Maine goodies were on the menu to give those from out-of-state a traditional taste of Maine.

Classes for upperclassmen don't begin until next week, but freshman are already on campus getting acclimated to college life.

"So those are first year students that are getting an entire class done the week before all of our students get here. So it's a really exciting time- they get to know the campus, they get to know all of the faculty and staff members before everyone else gets here. So it's kind of a nice step up for them to make them feel comfortable on campus," said Brittany Newman, Assistant Director of Admissions for Thomas College.

For many of those at Friday's summer visit, it was the first time setting foot on a college campus.
