A Portland payment processing company plans to lay off 139 employees.

Evo Payments International filed a notice with the Maine Department of Labor on Tuesday.

The company is located inside the old Portland Public Market building on Cumberland Avenue.

Federal law requires companies with 100 or more employees to give 60 days notice of a closing or mass layoff.
