LINCOLN, Maine (WABI) - State Police say they are looking into whether drugs played a role in a fatal crash on the interstate near Lincoln Friday night.

36-year-old Stephanie Bell of Medway died at the scene.

Police say she was not wearing her seatbelt and was thrown out of the pickup truck when it overturned.

Her husband, 31-year-old Joshua Bell was driving.

Police say he drifted off the passing lane and into the median and when he overcorrected the vehicle overturned.

Police say they found heroin and methamphetamine at the crash scene.

They say when Joshua Bell was released from the hospital Saturday morning, he was arrested and charged with drug possession.

He's due in court Tuesday.
