Police investigating credit union robbery in Patten

PATTEN, Maine (WABI) - A credit union in Patten was robbed Tuesday afternoon.

State police say a male suspect entered the East Mill Credit Union on Church Street around 2:30 demanded money, and then fled on foot.

Multiple departments converged on the area and searched for the suspect - but no arrest has been made.

Police were on scene for much of the evening.

They don't believe there is any threat to the public, but ask people in the area to stay vigilant and lock their homes and cars.
