Police are still trying to figure out what caused a crash that killed a Brewer High School student this weekend.

Police say 17-year-old Jordan Parkhurst of Brewer was driving and 20-year-old Dylan Murray of Bangor was in the car.

The vehicle went off Wiswell Road in Brewer around 7 Saturday night.

Murray was ejected from the vehicle.

He was released from the hospital today.

Counselors were available today for students and staff at the high school.

The school released a statement: "Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jordan's family and friends during this most difficult time. Jordan made our school community a better place."

Parkhurst was a varsity hockey player.

Brewer Youth Hockey has set up a donation fund for his family. "To make a donation, please send a check made out to Brewer Youth Hockey with a note that it is a donation for the Parkhurst family. Checks can be mailed to
