PORT CLYDE, Maine (WABI) - A meeting was held regarding a Port Clyde family who say they've been waiting 8 weeks for an oil spill on their property to be cleaned up.

In December, a Fabian Oil truck spilled 17-hundred gallons of fuel oil on Chris and Rebecca Anderson's back yard.

They say the oil is still a problem despite multiple phone calls with the Department of Environmental protection and Saint Germain Collins, the company hired by Fabian to clean the spill.

After the meeting, the DEP said that Fabian oil has made arrangements to begin cleaning the remaining oil starting Monday.

There will also be site monitoring 3 times each week and an agreement that dep will be notified of site conditions,

The Anderson’s say they were satisfied with the meeting and happy that deadlines to remove the spill have finally been set.
