SEARSPORT, Maine (WABI) A local museum is throwing its annual Victorian Christmas celebration this weekend.
The Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport is typically closed during the winter season, but they open up for a few days around the holidays to offer visitors a fun Christmas experience.
You can walk through the museum's 19th-century sea captain's house decorated for Christmas by local businesses and organizations.
The museum's gift shop will be open for holiday shopping, and there will be all sorts of activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Cipperly Good, Curator says, "It's been a tradition to have a Victorian Christmas here in town for decades. It's just a way for the community to show off their decorations with us and to be a place for them to come and explode with the Christmas spirit."
Victorian Christmas will be held at the museum's Searsport campus Saturday from 4 to 7pm.
