Opioid summit scheduled for July

AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - Maine's opioid crisis is the focus of a gubernatorial summit this summer in Augusta.

July 19th health care providers, medical experts, law enforcement officials and affected individuals and families will gather at the Augusta Civic Center.

According to a report released last month found drug overdose deaths in Maine dropped 15 percent last year, but still account for about one death each day.
