One dead in crash on Route 1A in Ellsworth

One person has died after a head on crash involving two vehicles on Route 1A in Ellsworth.
It happened around 12:30pm Tuesday on what locals know as McGowan's Hill, about 1 mile from the Dedham town line.
Two other people were taken to the hospital.
The road is still closed as of 2pm Tuesday.
