"For more than two decades, the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk has raised awareness of the importance of self-examinations, mammograms, and routine doctor visits," says Terri Vieira, president, Sebasticook Valley Health. "Awareness remains such an important tool in the fight against breast cancer, and it's a great reason to walk together this fall. Furthermore, the walk helps SVH provide a wide range of services that women can depend on right here in Pittsfield. It's inspiring to see the community come together to support women's healthcare."

The SVH Women's Health Center offers digital mammography, breast ultrasound, digital bone density (osteoporosis) screening, breast biopsies, lymphedema therapy, and other services in a private setting. SVH's advanced 3D mammography technology, which was purchased with donor funds, helps doctors detect and diagnose cancer earlier and more accurately. SVH is a certified Pink Ribbon Facility, which means that patients can expect to have the most comfortable mammography experience possible.
