Making your way to the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument in Northern Maine is getting easier.
Crews started putting up directional road signs within the last week.
The monument was established in 2016. The LePage administration initially delayed putting up signs along I-95 and the Route 11 corridor.
It took three years to coordinate the effort.
In all, 22 signs will be installed by the end of November.
