New Balance factories in Skowhegan and Norridgewock have been closed as a precaution after an employee showed COVID-19 like symptoms, that according to company officials.

They say both locations were closed Wednesday for a deep cleaning with plans to reopen after the holiday weekend.

As a precaution, the factory in Norway will close Thursday for cleaning and sanitizing.
