NH fugitive caught by Knox County deputies

WASHINGTON, Maine (WABI) A fugitive from New Hampshire was caught in Knox County Friday.

32-year-old Brian Bateman was arrested by Knox County deputies around 7:30 Friday morning.

He was found in a truck that had run out gas at the Maine DOT garage in Washington.

Police say he cut off his electronic monitoring device and fled his home in New Hampshire.

26-year-old Shawn Albee, also from New Hampshire, was arrested too.

She's charged with hindering apprehension.

The Foster's Daily Newspaper reports Bateman had served time for a drug crime since February 2015.

In September he was moved to home confinement and would have been eligible for parole in late March.
