BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A man who was injured in a shooting in Bangor that left another man dead was on the stand Thursday.
He testified in the murder trial of Robert Hansley of New York.
Hansley's accused of killing 38-year-old Robert Kennedy two years ago at an apartment on Center Street.
Police say he also shot and wounded, Barry Jenkins.
Jenkins took the stand in day two of the trial.
He told the jury Hansley was the first to fire and his gun was aimed directly at Kennedy.
The defense argues Hansley was not the shooter, but that it was Thomas Ferguson who pulled the trigger.
A judge has already convicted Ferguson of the same charges Hansley is facing.
Jenkins testified Hansley and Ferguson were close despite their age difference and he quote "knew sooner or later Ferguson was going to put Hansley up to something."
The state says the trial is expected to go late into next week.
The defense is still unsure whether they will call Hansley to the stand.
The trial resumes Friday morning
