Monroe man charged with domestic violence assault for New Year's Day incident

MONROE, Maine (WABI) A Monroe man wanted by police for an alleged attack that happened New Year's Day has been arrested.

State police say 27-year-old Brian Hybers left the Ellis Road location after the attack.

The victim was reportedly taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say Hybers was taken into custody Sunday at the same location of the incident.

He's charged with domestic violence assault and aggravated assault.

Hybers is being held at Waldo County Jail without bail.
