BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The medical examiner's office is working to identify bones that may be of a Blue Hill woman last seen in late July.
A hunter discovered the bones Wednesday off the Grindleville Road in Blue Hill.
Authorities secured the area, collected the remains, and confirmed they're human.
37-year-old Jessica Grindle was reported missing in August.
Searches have taken place for her around two ponds near the Blue Hill-Sedgwick town line.
The Grindleville Road is in that area.
"We're focusing on finding the remains. Obviously, we've been conducting searches in that area for the past few months looking for Jessica and it's certainly possible those remains are hers," said Troy Gardiner, Maine State Police.
