Maranacook Community High School students get donation from Dunkin' Donuts

MANCHESTER, Maine (WABI) - Maranacook Community High School students got a big check from Dunkin' Donuts Thursday.

Dunkin' donated $1,500 to their Project Graduation fund.

The donation was part of the unveiling of their new restaurant.

The Manchester location on Western Avenue is the first "next generation" concept store in the state.

Management says helping the high school seniors is part of their mission to give back.

"We are always looking back to the community and trying to figure out where the needs are, where there might be gaps, and especially knowing that Maranacook Community High School is right here in our backyard, and the next generation of students are graduating," said Rebecca Manikian, Operations Director.

"Project Grad is where we can hang out after graduation and be together and it's safe and our parents don't have to worry about where we are and this really helps make it even more fun," said Julia Tague-Licorne.

Dunkin' had giveaways and more Thursday during their celebration.

Some of the new features are a tap for cold beverages and the first drive-thru exclusively for mobile ordering.
