Maine man wins $500,000 off $20 lottery ticket

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (WMTW) - A South Portland man hit it big, winning half a million dollars from a $20 lottery ticket.

Maine State Lottery officials said Lawrence Trudeau bought the winning 50X The Cash ticket at the Circle K Store on Main Street in South Portland.

Trudeau wasn't the only big winner.

Angelo Nacri, of Lewiston, won $250,000 in the $10,000,000 Cash Blast game, lottery officials said.

He bought his ticket at Rooper's Beverage and Redemption on Sabattus Street in Lewiston.

Lottery officials said Trudeau and Nacri were two of 29 people to win more than $10,000 in the month of December.

The 29 players won more than $2 million, lottery officials said.
