Maine First Lady Ann LePage honored for work with veterans

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (WMTW) - Maine's First Lady Ann Lepage honored Friday for her work with Maine veterans.

The Southern Maine Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America gave her its first-ever award for exceptional service to Maine veterans.

The group crediting Mrs. LePage's work with Wreaths Across America and the Travis Mills Foundation.

The award was created to acknowledge and thank those who have contributed their time and energy to Maine's military members.

Ann LePage said, "The award was just amazing. I didn't expect it. I knew I was getting an award but, I didn't think it would be something like that so, I will treasure it always"

The group also announced the award will be named the "Ann Lepage Award" from here on out.
