Authorities respond to robbery at Richie's Pizza in Pittsfield

An armed robbery took place in Pittsfield Tuesday afternoon on Main Street.

State Police have released a photo of the suspect.

Officials are asking for the public's help in locating an individual.

Police say the suspect robbed Richie's Pizza restaurant shortly before 4 p.m.

They say the suspect then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Multiple agencies responded.

Pete Bickmore, Pittsfield Police Chief, said, "We had a report of a subject come into the pizza restaurant. He brandished a pistol and demanded money. He was wearing an orange hoodie sweatshirt, a black ski mask, and sunglasses. So now we have a multi-agency manhunt."

There were no reported injuries as a result of the robbery.
