BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The Maine Turnpike Authority expects more traffic on the turnpike this Memorial Day weekend.
Nearly a million vehicles will be traveling the highway from now through Monday.
Drivers should expect heavy traffic southbound on Monday.
Turnpike officials are urging folks to be cautious when traveling through construction zones where the speed limit is lowered to 45 mph.
We're told police have seen an increase in crashes in those construction zones.
