A man from Madawaska who illegally imported prescription drugs from the Philippines is going to prison for a year-and-a-half.
39-year-old Tristan Nelson was sentenced Monday in federal court in Bangor.
He pleaded guilty last fall.
Court documents say in February of last year a package for him arrived at the Madawaska post office with 950 Ritalin pills and 450 Xanax pills.
Nelson admitted to investigators he ordered the pills and planned to sell them.
