AUBURN, Maine- Lost Valley Ski Resort in Auburn celebrated veterans Saturday by giving them and their family a free day on the slopes.
One hundred and sixty veterans and their families came out for the first-ever "Vets in the Valley" event.
When it was time to warm up veterans could check out the local agencies set up in the lodge to highlight the resources available to them.
"This is our effort of giving back to the community. To give the veterans a chance to get out and ski,” said Lost Valley General Manager, John Herrick.
There was live music and a buffet as well.
They even brewed up a special blonde ale for the occasion called "Vets in the Valley."
