Libertarian Party of Maine hosts their Biennial State Convention in Bangor
The Libertarian Party of Maine held their Biennial State Convention, Saturday.
It's hosted by the Penobscot County Libertarians.
The convention gives folks the chance to interact with one another as well as vote on the party's regulations and position runners.
In 2016, The Libertarian Party of Maine submitted enough signatures to become an official political party.
They will have their presidential and vice presidential candidates appear on the November ballot.
The convention allows for discussion not only for members of the party but, the public as well.
State House Candidate, Cody Blackburn said, "People in this state, they don't like to be pushed around, they don't like to be told what to do from some higher state government or even local government sometimes. A lot of people have misconception about we're not here to take like the two major parties, were here to give back. We're here to say you can do it yourselves, it's your life style, your paycheck, live how you want to live."
The convention also hosted guest speakers.
