Large Number Of Animals Taken From Sorrento Farm Due To Inhumane Conditions
State officials say that the owner of a farm in Sorrento who was previously cited for animal cruelty, will lose the rest of his animals.
Officials say that 51 year old Mark Calcia had 44 animals taken from his farm earlier this month.
Today crews worked in below freezing weather to safely remove the rest that were found to not have proper living conditions.
Calcia allegedly obtained more animals after a search warrant was served on December 5th.
Officials tell us that an alpaca, two calves, four piglets, three goats, ten rabbits, and more than forty poultry have been relocated.
The crew also found 3 dead birds at Calcia's farm.
