FREEPORT, Maine. (WABI) - L.L. Bean is partnering with Camp Sunshine for a Pumpkinfest Event.
The festival was packed with fall activities like a costume parade and pumpkin carving.
Event organizers hoped to raise 60-thousand dollars for Maine families to attend Camp Sunshine.
The organization provides children with life-threatening illnesses and their families a retreat at Sebago Lake.
Kayley Walker, the Communications and Event Coordinator had this to say, "Everybody comes together, and they create an incredible community of support for those families who are going through very difficult circumstances, and we're very proud to be able to provide that community for them."
Thousands of jack-o-lanterns were lit throughout the L.L. Bean campus in Freeport at the end of the festival.
