Juvenile arrested, Bangor school officials cancel homecoming bonfire over safety concerns
Bangor High School's homecoming bonfire was cancelled Thursday night and a juvenile from Bangor has been arrested and charged with terrorizing.
On Thursday evening the Bangor Police Department was contacted by a parent who said they had seen some concerning statements posted on a social media platform.
The statements indicated there would be problems at the bonfire.
Authorities and school officials say they worked together and decided to cancel.
We're told that a district wide call went out to parents cancelling the event and that some students were already there, those students were forced to leave.
We expect to have more for you on this Friday.
