BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A Hampden man accused of installing a video camera in a staff bathroom at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor has been sentenced to nine months in jail.

58-year old David Waltz pled guilty to eight counts of invasion of privacy involving a dozen victims from the hospital.

He was a hospital employee.

He was arrested in October after the camera was found.

Prosecutors say they're satisfied with the judge's decision.

"The judge was very thoughtful today in his deliberation taking in to account the serious impact this had on the victims together with the defendant's very early acceptance of responsibility and lack of criminal record," said Assistant District Attorney Marianne Lynch.

Waltz will serve his sentence at Penobscot County Jail.
