AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) As the government shutdown continues, Maine will continue to fund a small number of workers whose positions are funded by federal dollars.
That's according to Senior Policy Advisor, David Heidrich.
He says if the shutdown carries into February, money for those workers could be impacted and alternative funding sources might be tapped into.
When there was a government shutdown in 2013, Governor LePage declared a civil emergency.
That let him suspend some laws and rules policies to better manage the impacts of the shutdown.
Hundreds of Mainers were laid off.
