Gorham man crashes SUV while license suspended from OUI convictions

STANDISH, Maine (WMTW) - A Gorham man is recovering with serious injuries after he crashed his SUV while authorities say his license was suspended.

Cumberland County deputies said Joshua Turner was driving erratically in Standish before leading them on a chase. Less than a mile away on Standish Neck Road, he crashed into a utility pole and rolled several times.

He was ejected from the vehicle and pinned underneath it.

Turner was taken to Maine Medical Center with serious injures and is expected to recover.

Deputies said his license was currently revoked from several prior OUI convictions. Turner will face OUI and operating with a revoked license charges.
