Gas Prices On The Rise In Northern New England

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) Gas prices are moving up in northern New England.

The latest survey of Maine gas stations shows the average price of gas went up 4.7 cents last week to $2.34 a gallon. The price in New Hampshire went up 4.3 cents to $2.26 a gallon. In Vermont, it went up 3.3 cents, averaging $2.34 a gallon.

Elsewhere, the national average increased 3.5 cents to $2.31 per gallon. That's an increase of 8.3 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 18.2 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
