Garland man to prison for string of crimes in Penobscot, Somerset Counties

GARLAND, Maine (WABI) A man from Garland with a lengthy criminal record who also rammed a police cruiser during a high speed chase will spend six years in prison.

23-year-old Lee Henderson pleaded guilty and was sentenced earlier this year.

He faced 17 charges, including aggravated assault for injuring the officer and several counts of burglary and theft.

Henderson committed the crimes throughout Penobscot and Somerset Counties.

Last summer he broke into a home in Corinna, then took off.

He was finally stopped in Dexter when he ran into the cruiser.

Prior to that Henderson stole a tractor in Madison and an ATV in Moxie Township.

He also went on a three-day crime spree in 2016, spanning five towns from Lincoln to Newport.

That time he stole cars, damaged property, set two fires and tried to cover up a break-in.
