Some folks in Ellsworth ended their Labor Day by taking in a show Monday evening.

Flash in the Pans played their annual benefit concert for the Everybody Eats soup kitchen.

They provide a free meal every Monday night from 3-6.

A large crowd gathered in the Re-Store parking lot next to Jordan's Snack Bar to listen and dance the night away.

"The response is always great," said Ron King, Everybody Eats Board Chair, "Flash in the Pans is an amazing group. They've been going for a long time. They donate their time for this concert once every year."

The soup kitchen is in the St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church on State Street in Ellsworth.

The event is a big boost for an organization that is run fully by grants and donations.
