Fire crews battle Bangor structure fire Friday night
Officials are trying to figure out what caused a Bangor fire at a multi-unit home Friday night.
Several fire crews were called to Warren Street around 9:30. Bangor's Fire Chief, Tom Higgins, said when crews arrived they saw heavy fire in the back of the building.
No word on how many people are without a home.
Jason Cameron said he was inside when the fire broke out. Cameron said, "We started getting a lot of smoke in the house and about that time, that's when the fire alarm went off. I didn't know what was going on. I went and opened the door and when I did, I got a real gush of smoke and heat."
The Chief said there were no injuries reported. No word if any animals were hurt.
Crews were still fighting the flames after midnight.
