BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A lot of federal money is rolling into Maine to support public transportation.

Senator Susan Collins says Bangor will be getting just under $3M to upgrade its Community Connector Public Transit System.

It includes buying new vehicles, making technological advancements, and building a new bus depot.

On top of that, Maine DOT will receive around $2.2M to buy 33 replacement buses to serve residents in rural areas across Maine.
