FARMINGTON, Maine (WABI) - Police officer rescues aren't just limited to people, last night, two officers from Farmington saved a pet cat from a burning home.

According to the Farmington Police department's Facebook page, the officers were called to the Davis Road to help fire fighters.

A cat was brought out of the home, suffering from smoke inhalation.
One of the officers put an oxygen mask on the cat's face to help her breathe. She is expected to make a full recovery.

Three people are now being helped by the Red Cross after the fire destroyed their house.
