Family, friends hold vigil for missing woman

BLUE HILL, ME (WABI) - The family of a missing woman is continuing their fight to bring her home.

Wednesday night a candlelight vigil held in her honor.

Jessica Grindle was last seen in July in the area of Grindleville.

There have been multiple searches of that area in recent days.

Wednesday evening a large crowd gathered in front of Blue Hill's Town Hall for the vigil.

Family and friends lit candles and shared stories.

The vigil's theme, Bring Jessica Home.

"We as a family of gotten a lot of motivation out of the support from this great community and tonight it's just to bring everybody together for the same purpose which is, we love Jessica," said cousin Alicia Pearson. "We hope that we can find her and that she'll come home."

"I want them to find her," said her mother Sharon Grindle. "I want to get her back. Her son here is here running around and is almost 11 years old and I worry the most for her two little boys."

Wednesday was Jessica's birthday.

Her family says they are far from done with their efforts to bring her home.

They say their community has rallied behind them during these trying times and with their help will keep searching.
