BANGOR, Maine (WABI) Undercover elves will be outside the Bangor Walmart Friday collecting toys for kids in need.

They'll be dressed like Bangor Police officers.

Bangor Police are working in partnership with the Salvation Army.

They helped collect more than 500 toys last year.

"The teens in our community are often the ones that we are really looking for things for. So, sports apparel, earbuds, makeup, adult coloring books, bathrobes, you know things like that. If your nieces or nephews like them, chances are the teens would like them too," said Captain Rebecca Kirk with the Salvation Army.

You can drop off toys from 10 to 2 in front of the Bangor Walmart on Friday.
