SEARSPORT, Maine- Area residents of Waldo County got together on Saturday to eat chocolate and raise money, as the eighth annual Chocolate Fest was held at the First Congregational Church of Searsport.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Greater Bay Area Ministries Interfaith Fuel Fund, whose goal is to help Waldo County residents in need of assistance with fuel during winter.
More than ten area churches contributed.
Organizers of the event said there were plenty of goodies to indulge in.
"Ten to twelve cakes, lots and lots of fudge, lots of cookies, whoopie pies, a chocolate torte- everything chocolate that you could possibly imagine,” said President of Women’s Fellowship Phyllis Gaul.
