EMMC Officials Say An External Hard Drive With Patient Information Is Missing

Eastern Maine Medical Center officials say the personal health information of 660 patients is missing.
The hospital says it's unable to locate an external hard drive that contained information about patients who underwent cardiac ablation procedures from 2011 to 2017.
They say that device was owned and operated by a third party vendor.
The information includes names, dates of birth, and medical record numbers.
We're told social security numbers, addresses, and financial data is not on this hard drive.
A dedicated line has been set up for patients who have information that was on the hard drive.
That number is 1-855-973-8200.
