EMCC Holds Letter Of Intent Signing Day

Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor held a letter of intent signing day ceremony Friday.

The event was for students who have been admitted into a program for next fall.

Sixty students took part.

Students also had the opportunity to speak with industry representatives.

Jennifer Khavari, Director of Advancement and Business Services at EMCC, says it's important to get students involved in trades.

"It's a chance for our students who are electing to have a career in the trades to come, feel supported, feel welcome, and be a part of something, engage in something, before they even start."

The Fall semester starts in August, and there is still plenty of time to apply.
