Downtown Bangor café moving to library atrium

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A downtown Bangor café is moving up the road and around the corner.

98 Wake and Shake closed their doors for the last time at their original location at 98 Central Street on Saturday.

They're moving to the Bangor Public Library Atrium.

The owners say it's perfect timing. They recently found out their lease on Central Street would not be renewed and staff at the library asked if they'd like to make their atrium a new, permanent home.

"It's been fantastic. Everybody here at the library is just amazing. They're so welcoming and friendly and professional and we love them all," says Regan Robson, co-owner.

They plan to open next Monday.

They'll be offering coffee, breakfast, sandwiches and more.

Hours will be Monday through Friday from 7pm to 4pm.

The library doesn't open until ten am but you'll be able to get to the cafe through the atrium entrance.
