Officials ask public for help looking for missing man

OWLS HEAD, Maine (WABI) - Officials are asking the public to help find a missing Pennsylvania man in Owls head.

Dive teams and other officials have been searching all weekend for 29-year-old Thomas Hackett of Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania.

He was reported missing Saturday afternoon off of Hendrickson Point Road in Owls Head.

Hacket is described as approximately 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, and black hair and brown eyes.

Officials say that they have found footprints leading to the water's edge near the home, with a pair of shoes and food items nearby.

They also found writings on the exterior of the home that officials describe as concerning to his well-being.

Hackett's family says he has been very upset by recent family events.
