DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine (WABI) A Dexter man is in jail after police say he intentionally hit two cruisers while trying to flee from officers while driving drunk.

Police were looking for 40-year-old Edward Crooks in connection with a harassment and stalking case.

They say when they tried to stop his vehicle around 10 last night on North Street in Dover-Foxcroft, crooks sped away.

Police say he turned off a side street and drove directly into the front of a Piscataquis deputy's cruiser, put his vehicle in reverse, and slammed into the front of the Dover-Foxcroft cruiser.

The Dover-Foxcroft officer was able to pin Crooks' vehicle between the two cruisers.

They say Crooks refused to get out and was tased by the officers.

The deputy sustained minor injuries in the crash.
