BAR HARBOR, Maine (WABI) - Maine DOT has hit the pause button on the reconstruction of Route 3 in Bar Harbor for the winter.
In 2018, some of the major work done on that corridor includes the replacement of water lines and drainage systems as well as the placement of new guardrail.
They've also paved the shoulders and added ADA complaint sidewalks.
New signs have also been been placed along the route.
DOT officials say crews plan to resume work in this area at the end of March.
