NEWPORT, Maine (WABI) Maine drug agents say they stopped $3,000 worth of heroin from getting to Washington County this weekend.

A car was stopped on the interstate in Newport after agents received tips people in it had heroin and crack cocaine.

Two New Yorkers, 26-year-old David Jones and 32-year-old Chuckie Langley, and 41-year-old Holly Inman of Machias are all charged with drug trafficking.

Jones also faces a bail violation for an August arrest in Machiasport where he was charged with trafficking cocaine.

We're told Langley is on parole from New York after serving 8 years for attempted murder.

Both men are being held without bail.

Inman's bail is set at $35,000.
