BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A Houlton man has pleaded not guilty to possessing child pornography.

According to his attorney, 44-year-old Larry O'Neal works as a Customs and border protection officer.

Court documents say he worked on the Canadian side of the border.

Those documents also reveal O'Neal's employer had received a report in 2013 that he possessed child porn, but police say that report was not verified at that time.

In January, authorities searched O'Neal's home where they say they found hard drives with explicit images of children and adults.

They say when interviewed, O'Neal admitted to downloading those images.
