Crews battle massive fire at Carmel business

A lot of fire departments were called to battle a blaze in Carmel Monday.

In total, 19 departments reported to Main Road for a fire at Ideal Recycling.

No one was hurt.

Eye witnesses from as far away as Bangor reported being able to see the smoke that was coming from a pile of cars that is reported to be 30 feet wide and 100 feet long.

Crews had to run hundreds of feet of hose to get water to the fire.

Firefighters were on scene much of the day and into the evening.

It's unclear what sparked it.
