AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) A high school student in Augusta has been charged with terrorizing after school officials learned of a threat.
Police say on Tuesday they were told about a threat involving a firearm.
School officials investigated with the help of the school resource officer.
The teen was interviewed and police who say it's unlikely that he would act on the threat, and released him to the custody of his parents.
He was given a summons and the district attorney will work with juvenile corrections staff to determine what, if any, next steps to take.
